Abstract

We believe that the way we have set-up the Cgal-project will have a big chance of producing a reliable, efficient, versatile, and relatively easy to use library of geometric algorithms. We hope that CGAL will eventually become widely used, both in academia and in industry. To make sure that the library fulfils the needs of many users, we do encourage everybody to comment on our ideas, such that, if required, we can adapt the design in an early stage. You can mail your comments to cgal@cs.ruu.nl or give them through the world wide web page http://www.cs.ruu.nl/CGAL.
