Abstract

Value Added Services (VASs) require well defined management processes. In order to be flexible and cost-effective these processes should be designed according to a standardised solution. In this paper we propose an alternative approach to model VAS management within the framework that the TMN model provides. The suitability of the TMN model is shown by applying it to the X.400 Message Handling System (MHS).
