Abstract
A mathematical model representing sediment transport by a free surface stream is proposed, hypothesizing two-dimensional and uniform flow, the bed of monogranular incoherent material and a sufficiently intense transport.
The global results appear to confirm the validity of the schematization, while the analysis of the detailed results points out its considerable potential also as an instrument for better comprehension of the actual physical phenomenon.
