Nonlinear unity-feedback systems and Q-parametrization

Abstract

This paper concerns nonlinear systems, defines a new concept of stability and extends to unity-feedback systems the technique of Q-parametrization introduced by Zames and developed by Desoer, Chen and Gustafson. We specify 1) a global parametrization of all controllers that S-stabilize a given S-stable plant; 2) a parametrization of a class of controllers that stabilize an unstable plant; 3) necessary and sufficient conditions for a nonlinear controller to simultaneously stabilize two nonlinear plants.
