Simple predictive LQ controller design

Abstract

LQ optimal controller design method based on lower-band matrix input-output description of the plant on a finite prediction horizon and dyadic reduction algorithm for quadratic form optimization is described. Manipulated input amplitude and/or slew rate limits can be taken into consideration.
