Abstract
This paper proposes the Roulette Fitness Distance Balance White Shark Optimization approach for solving the mesh routers placement problem with service priority. The performance of the proposed algorithm is validated in terms of fitness value maximizing both coverage and connectivity, depending on a given set of clients’ weights and client locations. The simulated experiments demonstrated that the suggested approach provides competitive results when compared with the original White Shark Optimization, Particle Swam Optimization, Genetic Algorithm, Sine Cosine Algorithm, and Harmony search.
