Abstract
The April 20, 2013, Lushan, Sichuan, China, earthquake is one of the significant earthquakes in China in the 21st century. The earthquake was a test of the enhancement of the capacity to protect against earthquake disasters since the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake, and a test of earthquake science and technology in China.
