Abstract

CBM accumulation is controlled by various geological conditions. In terms of the results, dynamic conditions are root causes, and accumulation effect is the reflection of CBM enrichment and high yield. However, in terms of process, dynamic conditions are only the reflection of CBM accumulation, and accumulation effect is the result of the dynamic balance of formation energy. How to profoundly understand the results of the accumulation process (the accumulation effect) from the reflection of dynamic conditions? In other words, what is the meaning of the connection between the reflection and the result? How to deeply understand the features and process of the connection (intermediate process), and then predict of the law of CBM enrichment and high-permeability zone distribution? Questions such as these can be attributed into “Dynamic conditions and accumulation/diffusion mechanism of CBM”. This chapter describes the results of the discussion on this issue.
