Abstract

In recent years, opportunities to encounter superficial non-ampullary duodenal epithelial tumors (SNADETs) are increasing because screening esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) is used worldwide. EGD is the most sensitive method for early detection of SNADETs, and early detection is the best strategy for improving patients’ survival. However, SNADETs are a rare clinical entity [1]. Therefore, there is no adequate evidence of endoscopic diagnosis and therapeutic strategy, and its clinicopathological features have not yet been clarified. Many unresolved problems remained compared to esophagus, stomach, and other organ tumors.
