Abstract

Mediclaim insurance policy in nationalized banks is in practice for several decades in India. However, there is a gap in the service quality of the mediclaim insurance policy provided by the private banks and nationalized banks. Today people are more discerning about their health consciousness than before but that does not mean that they are interested in buying mediclaim insurance. This study tries to analyze the product-specific factors and demographic factors influencing the customers’ preferences for purchasing mediclaim insurance policies in both public and private banks in Ranchi.
