Abstract
In today’s world, agglomeration has increasingly become the mainstream trend in the development of most regions and service industries. This chapter summarizes the classification and main characteristics of service agglomeration zones. This chapter argues that compared with manufacturing agglomeration zones, service agglomeration zones are often characterized by centralization in location selection, chain and networking in development mode, local root of regional system of service industries, strong horizontal correlation effect between enterprises, high concentration of innovation elements and advanced elements, etc. It discusses the evolution trend of the macroscopical layout of service agglomeration zone and the development mechanism of service agglomeration zone.
