Abstract

The large deployable antenna is forced to generate large thermal deformation and mechanical relaxation, resulting in the deterioration of the antenna performance, due to the thermal radiation of the sun and planets during the satellite motion. To solve this problem, this paper proposes an integrated optimization design method by combining the shape memory alloy (SMA) into the cable net structure. The shape memory effect of shape memory cable is used to improve the surface accuracy of cable net antenna. A finite element model with the geometric nonlinear of shape memory cable net structure is established. The active adjustment strategy of surface accuracy is adopted to carry out the optimization design of the surface accuracy adjustment under the influence of thermal radiation. The research results show that the shape accuracy can be obviously improved by properly choosing the material and structural parameters of the shape memory cable net structure to realize the orbit-keeping design of the large deployable antenna. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the feasibility of the method.
