Abstract

In order to find a tire tread structure of minimum tire vibration noise, this paper applies both the numerical analysis of radial tire 295/80R22.5 vibration noise-consisting of the boundary element method (BEM) and modal acoustic transfer vector (MATV)—and orthogonal test which shows the influence of tire tread parameters on tire vibration noise. Based on the result, this study carries on with the research on why and how the tire vibration noise is reduced by means of comparing acoustic contribution among the original model and optimized model, which provides a reference for the further design for tire optimization to obtain better characteristics of tire noise.
