Abstract

In this chapter, the methodology for dimensioning the RWH system including the area of catchment and the storage capacity will be introduced. In the past, people regarded RWH as a temporary measure for mitigating drought. Water professionals paid little attention to the design procedure for the RWH system. The catchment area and the volume capacity of storage tank were determined in a rather haphazard way without scientific analysis. This leads to poor design of the RWH systems.
