Abstract

Criminal and deviant behavior is one of the prominent manifestations of social disorganization . Study on the spatial distribution features of crime has a direct indicating function for our understanding of social disorganization, especially urban spatial structural disorganization (Chen et al. in Secur J 26:1–15, 2013). In the following analysis, the author will use the collected data about crime, population, and the environment to make a preliminary exploration of spatial distribution characteristics of criminal and deviant behaviors and spatial structural disorganization in Guangzhou City.
