Abstract

The charged current quasi-elastic (CCQE) scattering is a two-body scattering between a neutrino and a nucleon, which is the signal mode for the T2K neutrino oscillation measurement. This chapter describes the measurement of the \(\nu _\mu \) CCQE cross section on carbon with the Proton Module.

Notes

  1. 1.

The meson exchange current was originally conceived to be responsible for the dip region in the electron-nucleus scattering cross section as a function of the electron energy loss [18, 19].
