Abstract

The nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLSE) is an appropriate equation for describing the propagation of light in optical fibers. The optical solitons are very stable against perturbations, where it is property of a fundamental soliton makes it an ideal candidate for optical communications. To have the secured communication, the performance of resonators should be considered in terms of resonance width, the free spectral range, the finesse, and the quality factor. When an optical soliton pulse input into the nonlinear microring resonator (MRR), the large optical bandwidth of the output signals can be generated, where the nonlinear behavior of self-phase modulation (SPM) keeps the large output power. High capacity of optical pulses can be obtained if the full width at half maximum (FWHM) of these pulses are very small, thus the intensity build up can be performed inside the micro and nanoring systems.
