Abstract
With the financial support of the Victor and William Fung Foundation, eight higher education institutions supported by the University Grants Committee were invited to develop programs and curriculum materials for the Fung Service Leadership Initiative. While the initiative counted many achievements in the first two years and the program development represents the “let a hundred flowers bloom” phenomenon, there are several unfinished tasks that service leadership educators should address. These include evaluation, identification of success factors, role of service learning, assessment, establishing the theoretical distinctiveness of the model, integration with Chinese cultural values, and the clarification of assumptions of leaders in the Service Leadership Model.
The preparation for this work and the Service Leadership Initiative are financially supported by the Victor and William Fung Foundation
