Abstract

As I explored the concepts and models regarding roles and interactions among key players in different regions, including a case study of Thailand’s Automotive Cluster , to enhance knowledge-based industrial cluster and regional competitiveness in the previous chapters, this chapter is to introduce the framework and application of “Coopetition” or “Coopetitive System for Value Creation,” which refers to the combination of competition and cooperation among key players (Academe–Industry–Government) in knowledge-based industrial clusters to benefit players themselves and to enhance such regional competitiveness .
