Supply Chain Integration for Sustainable Advantages

Abstract

Supply chain integration (SCI) has received considerable attention from the industry and academia in the last two decades. In this study, we aim to conduct a systematic literature review (SLR) and synthesize the extant literature on SCI. A sample of 187 research articles was identified through an SLR process. Descriptive analysis results were reported, including the time trend, journal outlets and research methods used in prior SCI studies. Moreover, we conduct a thematic analysis of the sampled articles to summarize the underpinning theories used in SCI research, key dimensions of SCI and performance improvements brought by SCI. Finally, we offer recommendations for future research in this area.
