Emperors Yan and Huang, Our Ancestors: Chinese Ancestor Myths



Emperor Yan and Emperor Huang (the Yellow Emperor) are usually considered as Chinese people’s ancestors. Their names are “Shennong” and “Xuanyuan”, respectively, and they both are the earliest emperors in ancient legends.
