Abstract
Emperor Yan and Emperor Huang (the Yellow Emperor) are usually considered as Chinese people’s ancestors. Their names are “Shennong” and “Xuanyuan”, respectively, and they both are the earliest emperors in ancient legends. But from the perspective of history studies, the two emperors cannot be accepted by academia as real figures in historical texts. Shuxian Ye
