Abstract

Mechanical Jacks that are available in the market presently are often troubling and injurious under bad weather conditions. These jacks require the user to stay in a sustained bent over or squatting position to successfully place and operate the jack. Working in such a manner for a long time can cause suffering to the user especially for elderly people or women drivers. Moreover, the safety features in today’s jack are not enough for the operator to work with them in an appropriate manner. Additionally, the commercial jacks are big and bulky which raises the question for their placement and maintenance, also usually it is difficult to make out the proper position under an automobile where a jack has to be placed. This paper proposes solution to these problems. ISHA (Innovative smart hoisting assistance) is a system that will place and operate an electric car jack by utilizing power from the car battery. Using the concept of IoT and Smart Automation, the operator can just press a button from the Graphical User Interface (GUI) to change a deflated tyre without much hassle.
