Abstract

The aims of the present study were to investigate processing in sight translation via observation of the patterns of eye-movement behaviors during the sight translation process from Chinese into English and to examine how novice and professional interpreters differ in behavioral patterns and thus their processes. This chapter will summarize the major findings in Sect. 7.1, followed by a discussion of the implications and future directions of study in Sects. 7.2 and 7.3.
