Abstract
This chapter covers oil and natural gas energy of the two regions—the Arctic and the South China Sea. The Arctic energy part (Arctic Energy—A New Frontier of Risk) includes energy potentials in Arctic Ocean and its littoral areas that include explored, discovered and undiscovered oil and natural gas resources. The South China Sea part (South China Sea—Drilling in the Troubled Waters) deals will the existing oil and natural gas potentials in the South China Sea region, territorial disputes by the littoral countries and challenges of energy exploration.
