Abstract
Increasing polluting sources and deteriorating lifestyle conditions is leading to the adoption of sustainable supply chain (SC) in a plethora of manufacturing activities. Precipitating number of parameters is involved in implementing the green activities in the ongoing processes in any industry. Logistics, operations, planning, and sourcing cumulatively defines supply chain. Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) from Delhi NCR region were considered during the analyses. We have used interpretive structure modeling (ISM) technique to determine the parameters responsible for enabling lucid changes thereby mitigating the effect of Timber industry in the environmental pollution. A matrix was developed based on the driving and driven nature of the parameters through which it was concluded that government support is considerably responsible for improving the manufacturing techniques and promoting green supply chain practices. Government support, Technology Infrastructure, Linkage Capabilities, Social Responsible Activities, Financial Constraints, Leadership Style, Collaboration with Suppliers are the critical factors responsible which will be discussed in this paper. On analyses, government support was found to be a major driver of green supply chain practices. Subsidy from government, supplier linkage facilities, special economic zones, innovation, and sustenance features show government can support the MSMEs.
