Abstract

Nowadays construction industry is the main consumer of energy and materials. For sustainable development, we have to use proper resources. Bamboo is a fast-growing fiber structure which has high tensile strength so we can replace steel with bamboo in Bamboo Cement Concrete (BCC). We have more information about vegetable fibers like bamboo can be used either alone or as reinforcement in different types of material, such as soil and cement composites. These studies led to the establishment broad idea about bamboos types and its various recent applications. It also contains in detail of different preservative technique which can increase the considerable life of bamboo.
