Abstract

This research combines the current situation of water resources research in Dongfang, Hainan Province with the practical needs of solving problems in water system construction. A water system planning scheme must be constructed to cope with problems and planning needs, and the proposal of a new era of urban drainage construction has led to the park ecological civilization concept. With pollution control, ecological restoration, water network connectivity, and comprehensive control measures such as waterfront landscape and cultural development, multi-level and multi-scale planning, implementation, and management requirements can be put forward to guarantee the healthy and sustainable development of a water system for the coastal tourism city through water resource protection, maintenance of water ecological system integrity, water environment pollution control, and urban infrastructure construction. As a typical case, it can provide models and references for international water-related research, relevant regional urban planning, and water system planning.
