Abstract
This chapter mainly focuses on how to shape the strategy of creating world-class higher education institutions in China. Specifically, the section related to the historical analysis and prediction of the basic indicators of the development of higher education in China contributes to the “three-step” strategy for building world-class higher education institutions. In the process of building a well-off society in an all-round way, China is implementing two major strategies, namely the strategy of building an innovation-oriented country and the strategy of strengthening the country with human resources.
