Abstract

In this work, fast Walsh–Hadamard transform (FWHT) is utilized for fault detection and faulted phase recognition in a three-phase transmission line (TPTL). The FWHT has been widely investigated using the MATLAB test model of a TPTL. The three-phase fault currents measured by the transducers connected at the bus 1 of the TPTL are entered to the FWH algorithm. The fault detection is carried out with great accurateness.
