Abstract

The Asian Infrastructure Investments Bank classifies Russia as an Asian country. It reflects the current geopolitical context claimed by Russia, which includes turning to the East and development of Greater Eurasia. But along with this Russia has to work on its own geopolitical and internal issues, especially within the development of own Asian part of the country.

The research for this chapter by Alexander Lukin was supported by a grant from the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs of the National Research University—Higher School of Economics in 2019.
