Abstract
A substrate-integrated waveguide technology based reconfigurable antenna is presented. The antenna is able to independently tune different antenna characteristics like radiation patterns, polarization, and frequency. The feature of tunability is accomplished by simultaneously switching the diodes ON/OFF, connected at various different locations on the H-shaped slot etched on the substrate. The proposed antenna is thus able to shift radiation patterns along forward and backward directions, altering different polarization states at different frequencies.
