Abstract

This chapter critically examines and compares Khomeini, Shariati and Bazargan’s ideology of ‘Otherness’ vis-à-vis Western modernity. It sheds light on the implications for Iranian society of their thoughts, and the evolution of their ideas from within pre-revolution era to the post-revolution period.
