Abstract

This chapter examines the viewpoints of Khomeini, Shariati and Bazargan and makes critical comparisons between them, with regard to Islamic ideology. Further, this chapter elaborates on ideology through five aspects: an explanation of the situation, the system of knowledge, the system of norms, the system of government and public policy. This part of the study illuminates the ideological similarities and differences between Khomeini, Shariati and Bazargan.

    It is necessary to mention that after the victory of the revolution in 1979 Khomeini, in consultation with the Revolutionary Council, appointed Bazargan as the prime minister (between 11 February and 4 November 1979).

    It was the publication organ of the Freedom Movement of Iran (Nehzat-e Azadi-e Iran) after the 1979 Iranian Revolution between 1979 and 1981.
