Abstract
Gamma Knife is a stereotactic radiosurgery machine that delivers focused, high dose of radiation to targets in the brain. Usually tumors of 3–4 cm are the ones best treated with SRS with minimal damage to surrounding brain tissue. This chapter deals with the evolution, indications, technique, planning, and quality assurance of Gamma Knife radiosurgery.
