Abstract
Telecobalt was a revolutionary advance in the external beam radiotherapy and remained main cornerstone for EBRT treatment till the wide spread use of linear accelerators. Telecobalt is still used in many resource limited setting due to relatively lower initial cost, lesser service cost, and less QA compared to linear accelerators. This chapter describes the history, isotope, machine details of telecobalt machine.
