Abstract
One important aspect of brachytherapy planning is to have an idea on brachytherapy dose rates and radiobiological advantage of each type, which help us in having a better understanding on brachytherapy. This chapter will brief on basics of brachytherapy and the common radionuclide used in brachytherapy.
