Soft Computing for Problem Solving

Abstract

This paper presents a high-gain boost DC–DC converter with a photovoltaic system, which gives high gain at low duty cycle. The Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) technique with MPPT controller is implemented on the converter, which determines the duty cycle of the converter to maintain constant output voltage at a given input voltage. The working principle of the converter, PSO algorithm with MPPT controller, and the simulation results are presented.
