Abstract
Employees tending to choose freelance rather than being employed at any software firm has become a major problem. Due to fewer professionals employed, software firms are facing some limitations that are interrupting their sustainability. Freelancers are encouraged to integrate with the software firms, but the growth of software firms tend to decline and fall into the diseconomy of scale, urging employees to be freelancers rather than an employee at any organization. In this study, the growth of the software firms and its effect on freelancers has been discussed based on data collected from primary and secondary sources. It has been observed that a healthy software firms are able to attract more employees, whereas employees are demotivated in weak software firms. Therefore, employee prefer. This paper discusses the sustainable management and economic strategies that are considered as possible ways to retain the growth of the software firms which would help them to reduce employee turnover due to freelancing.
