The Development of China’s Special Economic Zones and Poverty Reduction—Overview of the Seminar on China-Africa Poverty Reduction and Development

Abstract

The experience of the special economic zones is summarized with consideration to the actual situations in Africa: the development of agriculture with a view to promoting industrialization, the industrialization driven by exports, the establishment of cooperation between domestic and foreign capitals, the development of private sectors, no government interference in the investment field, and the offer of preferential policies and an environment for the industrial development of enterprises.
