Abstract
A new class of robotic devices—snake-like robots—is considered. Examples are given, the mechanical and software way of existence of this type of robots; ways to control them are discussed. Considerations of their use in the modern world, assumptions about the further development of these test apparatus are given. Examples of author model are given as well.
