Abstract
What is sustainable urbanism? How is it possible through land use planning and urban design? Then, to what extent it is viable as public policy? This study is to deal with the questions. Methodologically, it is a theoretical investigation into the principles of sustainability of land use planning and urban design. The focus of the investigation is to explore the characteristics and aspects of sustainable urbanism. The purpose of the study is expected to make a contribution to the discourse on sustainability for land use planning and urban design in terms of public policy.
