Abstract

A sustainable livelihood copes with and recovers from stressors and shocks, maintains or enhances its capabilities and activities, and provides livelihood opportunities for future generations. Migration is one of the outcomes of a livelihood strategy. A Sustainable Livelihood Approach (SLA) helps one to understand people’s livelihoods and their strategies associated with the same. In this chapter, SLA is empirically examined to explore the likelihood of migration from Sundarban under different sets of predictors.
