Abstract
Multiple evanescent white dot syndrome (MEWDS) is an acute multifocal outer retinopathy manifesting multiple white dots at the level of the outer retina or retinal pigment epithelium (RPE). Usually young adults are affected unilaterally with a female predominance. MEWDS has an excellent prognosis without requiring treatment, although systemic steroid may be helpful to hasten recovery.
