Abstract
Based on research and past literature, a foundation is laid to understand concrete blocks and their utilization. The interlocking mechanism and the types of interlocking are investigated simultaneously, followed by various aspects of concrete blocks, such as the shape, thickness, size and strength. The laying pattern is also given significant attention, as their effectual determination and field performance is discussed. To complete the featuring of all facets of CBP relevant to this area, joints between the blocks and their filling are examined as well.
