Abstract
China started to focus on and tried to improve the education and rehabilitation of children with autism in the 1990s. Now, there are various educational placements for children with ASD: in the main are rehabilitation agencies, kindergartens, regular schools, special education schools and homes, where children go in terms of their age and degree of disability. However, since China started very late in this realm, all these educational placements have their own problems, and the older persons with ASD are lacking in places to go.
