Abstract

Saussurea lappa Clarke, a species out of almost 300 species of Sassurea, has been used as a traditional medicine almost globally for a variety of ailments. Looking into its significant medicinal uses and progress in phytochemical and biological analyses, the present review aims to accumulate these information along with practical laboratory research data carried out in our laboratories on this species and encourages clinical research on this very plant species for establishing the traditional medicinal uses in the best interest of public health.
