As a Chinese saying goes, southeastern China abounds in wealth, Zhejiang and Jiangsu boast a galaxy of talents. It demonstrates the advantages of the region of Jiangsu and Zhejiang in the economic, cultural and other areas since the Song Dynasty (960–1279). Since the reform and opening-up, Zhejiang has been economically developed and culturally prosperous, and has become a culturally large province and a culturally strong province in China. The prosperity and development of folk culture in nearly ten years shows the brilliant achievements in building Zhejiang into a culturally large province and a culturally strong province.
