Ordinary Differential Equations

Abstract

Ordinary differential equations (or ODE in short) occur naturally in science and engineering whenever two quantities x and y are connected by some differential law. Historically, the motivation for building the early computers came from the need to compute ballistic trajectories accurately and quickly that required solution of certain ordinary differential equations.
