Abstract
In this paper, we propose the design of triband microstrip patch antenna for 1.1870 GHz L-band, 2.1670 and 3.5580 GHz S-band application. This antenna consists of elliptical patch with major axis of 47 mm and axial ratio of 0.6 with desired gain and bandwidth. This small microstip patch antenna gives very good response for three bands with VSWR value less than 2. The elliptical patch antenna consists of single patch with multiple applications and increased bandwidth. This antenna can be used for GPS, satellite mobile phones, and some RADAR applications. The HFSS 15.0 is used for design and simulation of this triband antenna.
